Privacy Policy

Wildkite is a bring-your-own-storage (BYOS) media manager. Our core principle: your media files always stay in your own bucket, and the platform is never in the content-serve path. This policy explains what data we handle.
What we store
- Account info: your email, nickname and any profile details you provide.
- Storage connections: your S3-compatible endpoint/region/bucket and your access credentials, encrypted at rest. Credentials are used only to list, read and write your own bucket on your behalf.
- Media metadata: titles, durations, codecs, references to thumbnails/waveforms, playback positions, playlists and sharing settings.
What we do not store
- Your media files. Video/audio always live in your bucket and stream to the browser directly from it via short-lived signed URLs.
- Platform-generated artifacts (thumbnails, waveforms, HLS, transcoded audio) are written to your own bucket under
.wildkite/, never to our servers.
Sharing
When you create a public link or share a library/playlist into a family, authorized people can access that content via signed URLs. You can revoke access at any time.
Deletion
When you delete your account, after a cooling-off period we remove your account metadata (libraries, connections, asset records) and sweep the .wildkite/ artifacts we wrote into your bucket. Your original files are never deleted by us.
